New 6 track live album from Foals' frontman Yannis Philippakis' project - Yannis & The Yaw
This 6-track live album, recorded at sold-out shows in Amsterdam and Paris last year from Yannis & The Yaw, follows on from the release of the critically acclaimed Lagos Paris London EP, which was recorded with the legendary Tony Allen on drums. This recording showcases the expansive, old school Afrobeat inspired jams from the EP, capturing the spirit of the musicianship and personality that made the late, legendary Tony Allen such an inimitable figure.
'Onstage' includes a previously unreleased composition '3' plus a dazzling cover of the Tony Allen masterpiece 'Afrodisco Beat' from his groundbreaking 1979 record 'Progress, Jealousy'.
