'Festivál' is the eighth studio album by the Latin music and rock band Santana. The follow-up to the successful 'Amigos' is recorded during a period when frontman Carlos Santana was the only original member in the band. Kicking off with the incredible 'Carnaval/Let the Children Play/Jugando' medley, consisting of almost eight minutes of their attractive Latin rock. The leading role by Carlos Santana can be found in the pop approach, but still with enough groove. With frontman Carlos Santana they gained public attention by appearing at the Woodstock festival in 1969. The Latin influence has always been an important part in their music, although the band also created some blues rock and pop classics.
