Following a rapturously received sell-out run at the Edinburgh Fringe, Oliver Darley and virtuosic pianist, Chad Lelong will be releasing their hugely anticipated debut album, The Seat With The Clearest View, through London based jazz label Lateralize Records

Covering every era of Bowie's chameleonic career from Life On Mars? all the way through to Where Are We Now?, The Seat With The Clearest View is an astonishing album that will melt the hearts of Bowie fans the world over.
"Although numerous artists have interpreted David's songs over the years, only a handful have ever truly left their own indelible stamp on them," explains Bowie's former Spokesman Jonathan Wingate, Executive Producer of the album. "I was mesmerised when I heard The Seat With The Clearest View for the first time. Oliver Darley and Chad Lelong have somehow managed to cover completely uncharted musical terrain with these songs, so they're reassuringly familiar and yet utterly unlike anything fans would ever expect."

Many years after they first hit the airwaves, these perfect pop art symphonies still leave you with the impression that the possibilities are endless. David Bowie grabbed you by the head and the heart and pulled you into a different universe. He made you feel understood, like the world was less of a lonely, humdrum place after you heard his music. Whilst the prospect of filling Bowie's shoes would be too much for most singers, Oliver Darley possesses what Ray Charles called "a voice that could sing the angels to sleep and wake the devil from his bed."
Darley dives deep beneath the surface of some of Bowie's most iconic songs in his
own inimitable style, radically re- arranging and stripping them down to their bare
essentials, shining new light through old windows with his achingly beautiful
burnished baritone.
