'Soultrane' is an album Coltrane cut for the Prestige label in February 1958 just after his departure from the Miles Davis Quintet's ranks. The music on this album is distinctively mellow by John Coltrane's standards and, as with all his other work, inevitably polarises opinion. A thoroughly unique curiosity.
