The visionary Swedish singer-songwriter & producer that is Fever Ray has finally returned to us grateful fans with a splendid new long-player; some five years after their last outing (Plunge 2017).
A return characterised with a somewhat darker & more brooding mood & feel. Now, I know what you're thinking; yes, this work is most definitely drifting further & plunging deeper than what we recognise & love as The Knife but my golly-gosh, it is so very rewarding, slamming & sonically rich - it is fantastic! Fever Ray's third album proper is a collaborative masterclass; an album that was conceived and written by siblings Karin & Olof Dreijer with some hefty 'featurings' from the likes of Trent Reznor, Atticus Ross, Nídia, Johannes Berglund, Peder Mannerfelt, Pär Grindvik, & Martin Falck. And let's not forget that the debut track “Carbon Dioxide” features co-production duties by the thumping, gritty and generally brilliant Bristolian known as Vessel.
