Legendary Slade guitarist Dave Hill has announced the release of his long-awaited debut solo album Dirty Foot Lane, arriving in October 2026
Best known as the flamboyant lead guitarist and founding member of Slade, Hill steps into a more personal and reflective artistic space with a collection that blends rock, blues, folk and atmospheric soundscapes.
Rooted in memory, family, ambition, triumph, struggle, and a lifelong passion for music, the album takes listeners on an emotional journey through Dave's life, from his early days dreaming of becoming a musician to global success with Slade.
Dirty Foot Lane features powerful tracks inspired by live performance, mental health, lockdown, family, resilience, and reflection -- all tied together by the title track that Dave describes as:
"My story -- my family, my home, my journey."
Produced alongside Django Holder, with contributions from long-time collaborator John Berry and producer Rob Childs, this is Dave Hill like you've never heard him before.
