Inspired by composers like Lalo Schifrin, David Axelrod, Ennio Morricone, Galt MacDermot, and Portishead’s Geoff Barrow, the album draws from a lineage of emotionally charged, forward-thinking music that quietly shaped hip hop decades later through sampling.
